My career spans over 50 years in the Manufacturing and Healthcare Information Systems/Technology Industries. I started in Manufacturing Information Technology, where I spent 18 years. I was given an opportunity to change my career in 1983 to Healthcare information Technology and for the last 32 years, Healthcare Information Technology has been my focus. My success over the years has been due to building trusted relationships. I have always considered myself a visionary and over my Healthcare career my focus has been on creating the bridge between Information Technology and Healthcare Care Providers.

Currently I am in the process of setting up my own Healthcare Advisor business focusing on assisting providers with the implementation of an Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange. My focus is to increase the providers Information Technology experience in a positive way. Leading to enhancing the quality of patient care at the time treatment is being delivered. I believe today is the most exciting time to be in healthcare because real changes are occurring, driven by the Government’s Quality Measurements around the delivery of quality patient care.

Prior to my current role, I was CIO at Enloe Medical Center in Chico California from 2006 to 2014 (Changing the Paradigm). In 2012 I was asked by the California Hospital Council to start SacValley MedShare a Health Information Exchange (HIE) surrounding the five rural counties in Northern California (Thinking Outside the Box). I was Executive Director of SacValley MedShare HIE while still CIO at Enloe Medical Center.

Prior to Enloe, I was Vice President Subject Matter Expert for McKesson Corporation in Atlanta Georgia. Also while with McKesson, I was the Outsourcing CIO at Mount Sinai Medical Center. In addition, Executive Director Outsourcing Division of McKesson (Doing the Impossible). I was CIO for California Healthcare System now Sutter Health San Francisco California (Building Trusted Relationships).
