Top Health IT CIO’s Convene to Collaborate on Security, Big Data/Analytics, and Mobile/Patient Engagement

 

HTRAC.org – March 18, 2015 – Washington, DC – HTRAC.org Confirms Top CIOs/CISO’s/CTO’s/CMIOs and other Health IT leaders are converging for a public-private sector technology collaboration fostering thought leadership, executive knowledge exchange, and to drive healthcare technology ideas forward. This HTRAC Council meeting is addressing the most critical issues health IT executives are facing with security, big data and analytics, cloud, mobile and patient engagement.

Most notably John Showalter, Chief Health Information Officer, University of Mississippi Medical Center will be discussing Big Data Analytics: Federated Data Marks on a Shoestring Budget; and Nicholas Marko, Chief Data Officer & Director, Geisinger Health System will be discussing Big Data Architecture and Strategy in Healthcare: Hybrid Strategy in Architecture and Integrating Data, both key issues most healthcare CIO’s are dealing with as a top priority for 2015 after the substantial investments into EHR. Brennan Lehman, CIO, Mosaic Life Care; and Sean Awad, CIO, Coffey Health System are delving into Mobile Solutions & Patient Engagement; Ed Leonard, Difficulty with Mobility or Digitization: Turning Paper Processes into Digital Processes.

An important CISO panel is addressing the critical infrastructure and security of healthcare which is by far the most important topic for 2015; led by Hai Ngo, CISO, NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC), James Routh, CISO, Aetna; Mitch Parker, CISO, Temple University Hospitals Systems.

Security technology providers are also collaborating with hospital CIO/CISO delegates as thought leaders to provide a solution provider perspective, listen to challenges healthcare is facing, and discuss best practices. Companies such as Ironkey are discussing Securing Healthcare’s Mobile Workforce, Voltage (acquired by HP) is talking about Preventing a Security Incident from Turning into a Data Breach, and Prevalent is leading the topics of data forensics and analytics.
